This is one brand new idle stop solenoid from Standard Motor Products. Also known as an anti-dieseling solenoid, this part prevents dieseling or run-on in vehicles with carburetors, and provides an adjustable stop to correctly set engine idle speed.
This replaces Ford part number D7VZ-9D856-A and AMC part number 8126260. It is for cars with a Ford 4bbl carburetor. Please visually check the picture of the part against the part you are replacing in order to determine if this part is correct for your application. This is a brand new part; it has never been installed on a vehicle.
Installation Note
This part may ship without the connector on the wire. If so, you will need to splice the existing connector on to the solenoid's wire.
