This is one rare, brand-new genuine GM  idle stop solenoid.  It is an OE (Original Equipment) part, and carries the Delco Remy DR1997464 part number stamped onto the casing.  Also known as an anti-dieseling solenoid, this part prevents dieseling or run-on in vehicles with carburetors, and provides and adjustable stop to correctly set engine idle speed.  It is correct for the applications listed in the compatibility chart.  This is a brand new part, it has never been installed on a vehicle.
