This is one brand new genuine USA-made Rochester Varajet 2SE carburetor. It is correct for Jeep CJ CJ5 CJ7 and Scrambler models manufactured between 1981 and 1983, 1979-1980 GM cars, and 1980-1983 AMC vehicles when equipped with the General Motors "Iron Duke" 2.5L 151 CID 4 cylinder engine. Note: this part is not correct for AMC vehicles with the AMC/Chrysler developed 2.5L 150cid engine. Please contact us if you need help determining which engine you have.
Important Note: This carburetor is not correct for 2.8L or 4.1L applications, and will not work for them. This carburetor will only work on the GM developed 151cid 2.5L "Iron Duke" 4 cylinder engine.
This is not a reproduction or copy or remanufactured part, but a brand new genuine GM service part; it has never been installed on a vehicle. Please check the vehicle compatibility information and visually check the picture of the part against the part you are replacing in order to determine if this part is correct for your application.
Installation Note:
Make sure you drain and flush the entire fueling system, from tank to carburetor, and replace the fuel filter before attempting to install this part. Contaminated (old) fuel will quickly destroy fuel system components including this one.
