These carburetors are customer returns.  Even though we do not list 6 cylinder engines in our compatibility chart, some customers have attempted to use these on a 6-cylinder application and have bolted them to the manifold, leaving tool marks around the mounting holes.  These customers then found out that the linkage on 6 cylinder applications will not work, and returned the part to us.  We therefore cannot sell them as brand new, uninstalled parts.  They are however new and have the same warranty as our other carburetors.   The price on these parts is reduced due to the tool marks on the mounting flange.

This is one brand new genuine USA-made Rochester Varajet 2SE carburetor.  It is correct for Jeep CJ CJ5 CJ7 and Scrambler models manufactured between 1981 and 1983, 1979-1980 GM cars, and 1980-1983 AMC vehicles when equipped with the General Motors "Iron Duke" 2.5L 151 CID 4 cylinder engine.  Note: this part is not correct for AMC vehicles with the AMC/Chrysler developed 2.5L 150cid engine and will not work on any 6 cylinder application (2.8L or 4.1L).  Please contact us if you need help determining which engine you have.  

This is not a reproduction or copy or remanufactured part, but a brand new genuine GM service part.  Please check the vehicle compatibility information and visually check the picture of the part against the part you are replacing in order to determine if this part is correct for your application.  

Installation Note:

Make sure you drain and flush the entire fueling system, from tank to carburetor, and replace the fuel filter before attempting to install this part.  Contaminated (old) fuel will quickly destroy fuel system components including this one and will void the warranty.
